Milltown NS Starstruck, Big Div 3 game & more club news!

There was plenty of excitement last week in Milltown Community Centre with the guest of honor Cora Stauton (of Mayo Ladies GAA fame) on hand to present winning medals to the students of Milltown NS. Pictured above is Cora with some of the lads who will no doubt be stars of Milltown's future teams. See the local paper for more on the event!

Tomorrow (Tue 26th June) in Emper NS at 11am is also a red letter day, where there will be an Official Playground Opening Ceremony, An Taisce Green Flag raising Ceremony and Presentation of County Medals. Refreshments served afterwards and all are very welcome!

Milltown's mens team fixtures will be amended from as previously circulated, but they will be out against Multyfarnham in Div 6 and the Div 3 team will also play the league final this week! See our social media channels for definitive times and dates. All support welcomed!

Hard luck to Conor Dillon and his U20 county team mates who were beaten on Saturday by Offaly. Conor put on an excellent display with two points from his starting corner back position, but it wasn't to be for them this year.

It is also a big day for the Westmeath hurlers this Sunday, where they play Carlow in the Joe McDonagh Cup Final in Croke Park at 1:45pm. The county hurlers are having a meet and greet before the big game this Friday in Joristown Park, Raharney at 7.30pm, all supporters are welcome to attend.

Also, the main sponsorship drive for Club Iarmhí is taking place this Friday, with a first prize of €10,000, its well worth entering. Tickets are €100 each, but split the cost between a few of you Club Iarmhí supporters and you won't feel the pinch! Lots more info on on the prizes and on buying tickets online!

Don't forget to play this weeks club lotto also, JP is well worth winning!!!
